Americano Coffee
An Americano is a popular coffee drink made by adding hot water to one or more shots of espresso. This method produces a coffee that is similar in strength and flavor to traditional drip coffee but retains the rich, bold characteristics of espresso. The drink is believed to have originated during World War II when American soldiers in Italy diluted espresso with water to mimic the coffee they were used to back home. An Americano offers a smooth, balanced taste and is typically served black, but can be customized with milk or sweeteners depending on preference.
